KeyValue Releases Agent OPFOR as an Open-Source AI Security Tool
KeyValue has released Agent OPFOR, a free, open-source tool designed to help teams identify weaknesses in their AI systems before they can be exploited in the real world.
Inspired by the military concept of “OPFOR,” where an opposing force simulates enemy tactics during training, Agent OPFOR applies the same principle to AI security. It safely attacks an AI system using techniques similar to those a real attacker might use, helping teams understand where their AI is vulnerable.
Once the assessment is complete, Agent OPFOR generates a clear, plain-English report outlining what broke, where the weaknesses are, and what needs to be fixed. The tool is designed to make AI security testing accessible even to teams without dedicated security expertise.
Agent OPFOR can also integrate with agent observability platforms such as Langfuse and other tools, allowing teams to bring adversarial testing into their existing AI monitoring workflows. It also comes with an inbuilt integration with Netra, enabling teams to connect security testing with deeper visibility into agent behavior.
Agent OPFOR has already gained recognition in the open-source community, reaching #4 Repository of the Day in TypeScript. As an open-source platform for adversarial testing, Agent OPFOR helps teams safely attack their own AI agents, surface vulnerabilities such as prompt injection, jailbreaks, and PII leakage, and address them before they become real-world problems.
By open-sourcing Agent OPFOR, KeyValue is making proactive AI security more accessible to the wider technology community, helping teams find and fix vulnerabilities before someone with malicious intent does.
