TrueFoundry launches TrueForge, an open-source agent harness for enterprise AI
TrueFoundry has launched TrueForge, an open-source, vendor-neutral agent harness for building, deploying, and managing production AI agents.
Positioned as an alternative to Claude Managed Agents, TrueForge allows teams to work with their choice of models, MCP servers, API keys, and infrastructure. It also includes sandboxed execution, human approval workflows, and web search. For enterprise deployments, TrueFoundry Gateway strengthens governance with access controls, budgets, guardrails, credential management, and unified traces.
In benchmarks against Claude Managed Agents on identical tasks, TrueForge matched it in quality while costing 30% less with the same model, and around 75% less when using an open model.
TrueForge is available on GitHub and can be run locally or hosted for teams using Docker Compose or Helm.
KeyValue supports TrueFoundry across platform engineering, deployment, and AI engineering, helping customize the platform for customer requirements, roll it out in customer environments, and contribute engineering expertise alongside TrueFoundry’s partner teams.
